It was in 1608 when Captain John Smith was to first explore the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in which he was able to obtain a royal charter from Charles the First for the colony of Maryland to be settled by Lord Baltimore. In 1632, the first boat of settlers made their way to the shores of St. Clement's Island which today is known as Blakistone Island as a means of escaping religious persecution.
By 1763, Jeremiah Dixon along with Charles Mason
surveyed the northern most border of Maryland and
then in 1791, a small portion of Maryland was ceded
as a means of creating the now District of Columbia,
the heart of American Democracy. The British attempted
to capture Baltimore in 1814 through the bombardment
of Fort McHenry which led to the inspiration of
The Star-Spangled Banner. Although during the Civil
War, Maryland was considered to be a slave state,
they fought on the side of the Union and as a result
this led to the residents of Maryland fighting on
both sides of the war putting brothers against brothers.
Due to the importance of Maryland in association with the history of the United States it is a given that soon after the development of the Internet's first website by Tim Berners-Lee back in the early 1990's, that Maryland would soon start building their own websites. From the many universities to the various government organizations and even the larger corporations, there would soon be a great number of websites developed in Maryland while the internet was still in its infancy.

Because of all these languages and technologies, while there are many Maryland web developers available, not all of them are experienced with these technologies. eDesignerz has been developing websites since the very beginning of the internet. When eDesignerz first started developing websites back in 1995 the selection of technologies and languages where limited However as time went on the many advancements that have occurred over the years has led eDesignerz to produce hundreds of websites for completely satisfied webmasters throughout Maryland and the rest of the nation.
