Webserver Hosting
Clients who come to us requesting for hosting services of their sites may require to get some information on how the whole systems works. Storage of client information can be found in a web server. The server acts as a storage unit and facilitates exchange of information with multiple machines. Software is needed to in order for this exchange of information to take place. Data is transferred between our clients and us via a communications protocol known as Hypertext transfer protocol. Our servers run on multiple operating systems, such as, window, Unix and Linux.
This system works in a very simple way. Once the a client inserts his URL, the domain name server responds by translating the domain name to its internet protocol or IP address, this protocol shows the websites real address on the internet. The browser will determine the protocol to be used, for example, file transfer protocol or hypertext transfer protocol and then the server requests the web server to retrieve the address and the browser translates the data into information that can be understood by the client and this information is what is displayed on the client side.
Clients who have extra sensitive information can request to us for their very own server, which would be entirely dedicated to hosting their site alone. We will be responsible for the security, administration and maintenance of the server. We call this type of hosting, dedicated web server hosting. It is slightly expensive than those sharing a server with other clients. Good service coupled with providing high security and efficiency is of the essence to keep our consumers happy and satisfied.
